David Ames & Ian Sloan named in GB Sqaud for Rio Olympic Games

Saturday 23rd July 2016 saw Cookstown Hockey Club host a day of celebrations to mark the fantastic achievement of local lads David and Ian, who will represent GB in this years Olympics.

The day included a 'Skills and Drills' clinic at Steelweld Park, giving all 4-14 year old hockey enthusiasts the opportunity to learn from some of the very best followed by a BBQ in the club house at which David and Ian were awarded honorary life membership. We were delighted to attend the event and would like to thank all those at the club for a fantastic evening.

We are extremely proud of David and Ian's achievement and wish them the very best of luck in the forthcoming games!
